Shipping policy

Every bed we sell ships free by freight carrier, curbside, anywhere in the contiguous United States. Freight delivery works differently from a normal parcel — here is exactly what to expect, start to finish.

Processing & Delivery Times

  • Order processing: in-stock beds leave the warehouse within 1–4 business days of payment confirmation.
  • Freight transit: 2–10 business days depending on your region.
  • Typical total: 7–16 business days from order to delivery. Transit estimates are estimates, not guaranteed dates.
  • You will receive tracking by email within 24 hours of shipment. Small accessories may ship separately by UPS, FedEx, or USPS.

How Freight Delivery Works

  1. Your bed ships from a US warehouse on a freight (LTL) carrier — it travels crated on a pallet, not in a parcel van.
  2. When it reaches the freight terminal near you, the carrier calls you to schedule a delivery appointment window. Please keep your phone number current — and book your appointment promptly (carriers may charge storage fees if delivery cannot be arranged within a few business days of arrival).
  3. On delivery day, the truck arrives with a liftgate and the driver brings the shipment to the curb or end of your driveway.
  4. An adult (18+) must be present to inspect the shipment and sign the delivery receipt.

What curbside means: delivery to the curb, not into your home. Murphy bed boxes are heavy (often 150–300 lbs total, in multiple boxes) — plan to have a helper on hand to bring them inside. Inside or white-glove delivery is not currently offered at checkout; contact us before ordering if you need it and we will see what is possible for your address.

Your 2-Minute Delivery Checklist

Please do these five things before the driver leaves — they protect your purchase completely:

  1. Count the boxes against the delivery receipt. Note anything missing.
  2. Inspect every box for punctures, crushed corners, forklift marks, or water stains.
  3. Write any damage on the delivery receipt before signing, and be specific — for example: “puncture approx. 6 inches, top right of box 2.”
  4. If you cannot fully inspect, write “possible concealed damage” next to your signature.
  5. Photograph any damage — the box, the label, and the item — before the truck leaves if possible.

A delivery receipt signed clean tells the freight carrier everything arrived perfectly, which limits what we can claim on your behalf afterward.

Damage or Missing Parts

  • Report visible damage or missing items to support@crayohalo.com within 5 days of delivery with photos of the item, the packaging, and the shipping label.
  • Concealed damage (found after unboxing): report within 7 days of delivery with photos.
  • We file the freight claim for you and ship replacement parts free of charge — on most damage, a replacement panel or part arrives much faster than a whole new bed.
  • Please don’t refuse the delivery unless damage is severe (e.g., the crate is crushed). Refusing restarts a weeks-long freight cycle; replacement parts usually resolve things in days. If damage is severe, note it on the receipt, refuse, and call us the same day — that is a no-cost situation for you.

Delivery Area

Free freight shipping covers the contiguous 48 states. We cannot currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, PO boxes, or APO/FPO addresses — contact us and we will try to find an option for you.

Missed Appointments & Address Changes

If a scheduled delivery is missed, the carrier’s redelivery or storage fees are passed through at cost. Need to change your delivery address after ordering? Email us immediately — changes are usually free before shipment; after shipment, carrier reconsignment fees may apply.
